Living up to her motto “change the world and look amazing while you do it”, Dena Simaite, founder of Noumenon, offers edgy classics for the eco-conscious shopper. Deeply influenced by Kant’s Noumenal world and embracing the importance of cruelty-free fashion, Noumenon only sources organic cotton, vegan textiles, linen, cupro, Tencel (recycled woodpulp) as well as other upcycled materials from continental Europe.

The Pink Mira Top from Noumenon is minimalist and versatile, perfect to throw on in Summer and can transition seamlessly from day to night. This top is sleeveless and features open side seams that can be tied with adjustable straps. Made from modal, it’s soft and breathable.

Outer: 100% Modal
Lining: 56% acetate, 44% viscose

Noumenon strives to create garments that are responsible, ethically produced and cruelty-free, which means the label only works with vegan fabrics that do not involve the use of animal products or animal by-products.

Noumenon uses a range of fabrics in each collection, including:

GOTS-certified fabrics: Recognised as the world's leading processing standard for organic textiles, only textile products that contain a minimum of 70% organic fibres can become GOTS-certified. All chemical inputs, such as dyes, must also meet environmental criteria.

Better Cotton Initiative (BCI)-certified fabrics: The Better Cotton Initiative (BCI) covers environmental, social and economic sustainability.

A Noumenon garment is typically made 100% from one of the following fibres, rather than being blended, which assists in end-of-life recycling:

Linen: Clean, classic and luxurious, produced from the fibres of the flax plant.

Organic cotton: Produced without the use of toxic chemicals and with regard to the health of the environment.

Ramie: One of the world's oldest vegetable fibres, sourced from fibres from the nettle family, it has a silky lustre and beautiful drape.

Lyocell: An alternative to silk, lyocell is a cellulose made from wood pulp.

Modal: A semi-synthetic cellulose fibre made of wood pulp (typically from beech trees), modal has a silky feel and is environmentally friendly.

Cupro: A regenerated cellulose fibre derived from cotton linter (the ultrafine, silky fibers that stick to the seeds of the cotton plant after it’s been ginned), Cupro is similar to rayon, but breathes and regulates body temperature like cotton. A European relative of Tencel, Cupro is a hypoallergenic, antistatic fabric that is resistant to stretching out of shape at higher temperatures.

Typically producing its luxury garments from deadstock, Noumenon aims to #changethegame of fast fashion and overproduction. This means that each style/colour is limited, and therefore exclusive and unique.
