Jane Dress Black by Charlie and Mary

A belted knee-length shirt dress in a beautiful black cotton-linen blend fabric, Jane is a versatile item you can wear as a dress or as a long blouse – over wide, flowy pants, for instance.

The belt is included but not attached so you can choose whether you feel like going for a tailored (belted) look or a more casual straight fit.

The Jane dress features two front pockets with flap, button closure, long sleeves, and a mandarin collar.

Our model Zoë (picture 1) is 180cm tall and Nurcan is 174cm tall, both wear a size small.

From the development and design phase, Charlie and Mary takes the optimization of the lifespan of our garments into account.

Charlie and Mary only make garments out of fabric that has already lived a life. They use ‘dead stock’ fabrics (leftover inventory from other fashion houses) and recycled fabrics from the textile waste collected in The Netherlands and turn these into new pieces of clothing. 

The team carefully handpick the ‘deadstock’ fabrics we use from warehouses near our production partner in Turkey. We only select natural fabrics and the best qualities available.
