Original Short Raincoat - Off White by Maium

The Women Original Short is the short version of MAIUM's first fully waterproof raincoat that combines style, function and ethics. Made from 55 recycled PET bottles.

Waterproof/breathability:

• Water column 5000 mm

• No breathability because of the waterproof coating
• Windproof jacket with ventilation holes at the armpits

• Material: 100% recycled polyester

• Waterproof PU coating applied to the outside of fabric

MAIUM is a product of its environment. With at least 130 rainy days a year and more than a third of the country below sea level, we have gained a reputation for coming up with innovative ways to keep ourselves dry. Our raincoats are made with that same thought: to help you protect yourself from the elements through innovation in design, functionality and material.

Most of our fabrics are made from recycled materials. We use a variety of recycled materials such as recycled polyester (RPET) and recycled nylon for fabrics, lining and tapes. Our raincoats are fully waterproof, "designed for movement" and made for everyday use. To make our products waterproof, it is necessary to add a coating. Therefore, we have chosen to use a biodegradable polyurethane coating with bionic finish, which is currently one of the most sustainable options. None of our garments contain animal products.

Rainwear has the essential properties of being waterproof, breathable and durable. These requirements are not currently achievable with natural fibers. Therefore, we have chosen to use certified recycled synthetic yarn in our products. We are aware that the use of RPET also has environmental consequences in a general sense. However, for our type of product, this is currently the best option available.
